With hearts full of joy and a vibrant ambiance, our school immersed in the colorful celebrations of Onam on the 23rd and 24th of August. ✨ The 23rd of August witnessed an exhilarating array of Onam games that brought forth laughter, camaraderie, and healthy competition among our students. Laughs echoed across the school grounds as they participated in traditional games that have been cherished for generations. The spirit of unity and teamwork was alive as our students engaged in exciting challenges. As the sun rose on the 24th of August, our school transformed into a canvas of vibrant colors with the house-wise flower carpet competitions. The sheer creativity and dedication displayed by each house was awe-inspiring. These stunning works of art were a visual treat, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Kerala. Principal Sr. Melvin extended a warm welcome to all attendees. The Onam celebrations were inaugurated by our esteemed chief guest, Mr. Harish Nandanam, the Balussery Grama Panchayath Ward Member. Together, in the presence of Maveli, the iconic symbol of Onam, & the PTA president, Mr. Girijan, they lit the lamp to signify the illumination of knowledge and unity. Mr. Harish Nandanam graced the occasion with an insightful inaugural address, sharing his thoughts on the significance of Onam and the spirit of togetherness it embodies. His words resonated deeply with all present, setting the tone for a memorable celebration. Our talented students took the stage by storm, mesmerizing everyone with captivating dance performances that depicted the essence of Onam. The school choir added a melodious touch with their enchanting rendition of the traditional Onappattu. The corridors of our school came alive as students and teachers donned exquisite traditional attire, reflecting the elegance of Kerala's cultural heritage. The Malayali Manka competition showcased the grace and charm of our participants. The day's excitement peaked with the exhilarating tug-of-war competitions, where spirited cheers filled the air as houses battled it out for victory. And what's an Onam celebration without indulging in the sumptuous Onasadya? Amidst the celebrations, a heartwarming Onam Sadya awaited our students, lovingly arranged by our dedicated Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). 🍛🍃 Every student had the pleasure of savouring the traditional feast, sharing not just food but also cherished moments of camaraderie.
